‘All the world's a stage’

Inspiring Young Minds Through Live Theatre

The Globe Players have been bringing professional, high-energy performances to school children across London and the South East for nearly 60 years. We believe every child should have the chance to experience live theatre – and we make that happen, one school at a time.

Get to Know Us: Our Mission

  • Our goal is simple: to bring the magic of theatre into schools, helping young people connect with literature and performance in a way that’s lively, accessible and unforgettable.

  • Touring since 1966, performing in primary and secondary schools

  • Serving over 35 local authorities, mostly in the state sector

  • Reaching 70,000+ students each year – many seeing live theatre for the first time

  • Specialising in Shakespeare and set texts for GCSE, plus fairy tales

  • Our performers build highly diverse skill sets with our support

Our Story: Igniting Imaginations

Our history

A family company built on a love of theatre

Founded by Faith Noble and Patrick McEvoy in 1966, The Globe Players are still run by the McEvoy family today. Together, they’ve built a community of actors, writers and creatives dedicated to opening up theatre for the next generation.

Many of our freelance actors return year after year – some go on to lead their own tours, start their own theatre companies or work with major companies like the RSC and National Theatre as well as going on to television and film careers.

All of today’s actors engaged with, talked to and inspired our girls with a fresh ‘take’ on Shakespeare. We loved it.
