Romeo & Juliet

Romeo and Juliet tells one of the world’s great stories: that of love transcending social barriers. A dream is set against reality. The dream, of a perfect love between Romeo and Juliet, is set against the reality of a competitive, feuding and violent society. Love and Death are constantly mentioned together, foreshadowing the end that Fate has in store for the “star-crossed lovers”. The play’s themes, language and imagery are highlighted in this compelling production.

Our fantastic Text Study production of Romeo and Juliet features all the key scenes of the play along with commentary, discussion of social context and analysis of character. Our actors play multiple roles, keeping the action exciting and dynamic.

‘The Globe Players have brought Romeo and Juliet to life for our students.  We love their lively and playful performances.  It’s fantastic how they manage to pack so much into a one hour performance – including sonnet structure and figurative language. All of our students were rapt – giggling at the right times and vastly engaged by the romantic chemistry between Romeo and Juliet. We have found the Globe Players to be professional, flexible and affordable as an organization. Thank you for an excellent event.  Highly recommended!’ Bullers Wood School, January 2025
