Milanda wants a job at the palace, spinning thread and making clothes for the royal household, but her father, the mischievous Miller promises too much on behalf of his golden girl and Milanda finds herself having to try to live up to her father’s boasts! She is delighted when a curious man magically appears; however when his spell-binding powers turn out to have unexpected consequences, Milanda and the Miller need the help of the audience to ensure their happy ending!
